Adafruit 2748 ALS-PT19 Analog Light Sensor Breakout

Adafruit Analogue Light Sensor Breakouts – Adafruit 2748, The Adafruit ALS-PT19 Analogue Light Sensor Breakout has a high rejection ratio for infra-red radiation which makes its spectral response very similar to that of a human eye. Its output is an analogue signal which is proportionate to the brightness of the incoming light. All you have to do is apply power, 2.5 to 5.5V DC and read the analogue output.Supplied as an assembled and tested light sensor board plus a strip of 0.1in. header pins for you to solder on as required. When you read the datasheet you will see from table 3.3 that the GA1A1S202 provides an output current not a voltage. Adafruit have added a resistor to translate this to a more convenient and microcontroller friendly voltage of 0 to Vcc. Adafruit 2748 ALS-PT19 Analog Light Sensor Breakout
