BeagleCore BCS1 Starter Kit with BCM1 Board & Baseboard Breakout

BeagleCore 512MB RAM 4GB Flash 1 GHz Open Source Processor Boards & Starter Kit – BeagleCore BCS1, The BeagleCore Starter Kit BCS1 is one of the development and debugging options for the BeagleCore BCM1 system on module (SoM). It combines the BCM1 computer module and a baseboard to provide the expansion and connection opportunities to develop your next Internet of Things (IoT) or embedded project. The layout is compatible with BeagleBone Black capes and peripherals and the BCM1 provides software compatibility. Both parts of the system are fully Open Source under the Creative Commons Share Alike licence (CC-BY-SA 3.0) which means you are free to modify this design and use it, even in a commercial product. Once you have developed and tested your project with the BCS1, migrate it to a BCM1 SoM with a custom baseboard that only includes the interfaces you need. Maybe you don’t need the HDMI socket, but you do need more USB ports, it’s your call. The baseboard features 1 x USB 2.0 client (mini-USB) for power and communications, 1 x USB 2.0 host, 1 x 10/100 Ethernet (RJ45), 1 x HDMI (video and audio), 1 x micro-SD, 1 x 3.3V serial port 6-pin) and 2 x 46-pin GPIO headers. It also has 1 x power LED, 2 x Ethernet LED indicators and 4 x user controllable LEDs. The BCM1 is soldered to the baseboard via Land Grid Array contacts for security and reliability. The software and downloads. The BeagleCore runs the same operating system (OS) software as the BeagleBone boards including Debian, Android and Ubuntu. There is a comprehensive getting started guide which also includes links to the latest OS images. And because the BCS1 is fully Open Source you can download the schematics, BoM, etc. from their Github repository. BeagleCore BCS1 Starter Kit with BCM1 Board & Baseboard Breakout
