There are several image modes that assist in taking clear and accurate measurements: infrared, visual, MSX and picture-in-picture. The MSX mode overlays edge details onto the IR video to give a better perspective on measurement areas. The picture-in-picture mode is resizable and movable and overlays visual video over the IR video.To enable this device to give long and consistent service it is well constructed from rugged materials and has an ergonomic pistol-grip design that allows one-handed operation. The camera has interchangeable lenses and comes with a 42° FOV standard lens with laser-assisted autofocus. The sensor has a wide temperature detection range and can detect differences in temperature down to 30mK.
